Who We Are?
Our Mission
OZ Boomerangs makes handcrafted boomerangs that are actually safe and easy enough for kids to learn on, without losing the real flight and spin that makes a boomerang worth throwing in the first place. From foam boomerangs built for a first-timer’s backyard to performance wood for someone chasing distance and trick catches, every boomerang we sell is picked or made to do one thing properly: come back.
We’ve been handcrafting boomerangs since 1993, working alongside two-time World Boomerang Champion Rob Croll and helping form the Victorian Boomerang Throwing Association. These days our focus is on getting real boomerang sport — mostly foam, mostly for schools — into the hands of Australian kids.

Our Story
OZ Boomerangs started back in 1993 — long before it was a website or a warehouse, just a genuine love of the boomerang as a sport, not a souvenir. Over the years we’ve partnered with two-time World Boomerang Champion Rob Croll, helped form the Victorian Boomerang Throwing Association, and been part of the push to bring boomerang throwing to the Olympics.
Today we’ve narrowed our focus to what matters most: getting safe, foam boomerangs and real competition-style games into Australian schools, so kids can experience the sport — not just the souvenir — for themselves.
Our Core Values
A few things we never compromise on, no matter how the range grows.
-
Safety First — foam, soft-flight designs safe for kids from age seven
-
Real Craftsmanship — handcrafted in Australia since 1993
-
Respect for Where It Came From — honouring the boomerang’s Aboriginal origins
